Happy New Year to all!
2026 starts with a united service in Trinity Church @ Ferryden. This is a special day marking the last regular service which will take place in this building. The Presbytery plan which united the three churches of Scotland in and around Montrose in 2023 also proposed that the church buildings in Hillside and Ferryden were not fit for purpose and had to close, Ferryden at the end of 2025 and Hillside at the end of 2026. So the day has come for people of Ferryden church to move from the church to the hall (opposite the pier). God willing the hall, in the fullness of time, will be massively changed and extended to become an up to date centre of worship while also providing suitable accommodation for community activities. We would value your prayers for this project. Please note that the church building, which has served the community well since the 1840s, is closing, but the church itself is going forward in strength under God's guidance. And so from 18th January, Ferryden services will be held in hall.
The service on 4th January, which will commemorate this, will be led be Rev Michelle McAdoo at 11am. Refreshments will be served after the service. You are warmly invited to come along and join us.
